From days at Melbourne State College learning screen printing and etching to times spent at Australian Print Workshop developing new techniques, printmaking is aa absolute passion. The balance between technique and aesthetics is ever present in printmaking. Over recent years I taught myself wood engraving and have experimented with woodcut blocks for fabric and paper printing.
This wood cut block was based on a drawing of a camellia from my friend and fellow weaver Lissa's garden. This block is being hand printed to create a series of fabrics for clothing and homewards.
